North Thailand

Well here is where I started by myself... I took an overnight train to Chiang Mai. I must say that it's been one of the most confortable night journeys that I've done...
There I was supposed to go for a day trip but unfortunately couldn't go and instead I visited the night Bazar and enjoyed a foot massage.
I took the local bus to Chiang Saen (this is an area in the Golden Triangle - from here you can see Laos, Burma and Thailand only separeted by the Mekong River) were I met a friend of mine that lives there and manages a beautiful hotel. Ivan spoiled me offering me a room in the hotel (Thanks for that Ivan!!!)
From there I went to Chiang Kong (on the way I was the only western person and they felt very curious about it. So, they made big efforts to communicate and talk to me) and got ready to cross the Thai border into Laos...
